Senior Engineering: Haitian Ministry Solar Grid
Children of the Promise is a non-profit ministry serving vulnerable children and families in Lagossette, Haiti. It is currently running a 13-acre campus solely on a diesel generator. With the political unrest and poor conditions in Haiti, they are struggling to find a sufficient amount of fuel to keep their campus running. As the unrest continues to grow, fuel quantities continue to dwindle, and availability continues to shrink. The solar system will be installed to provide clean, renewable, and reliable energy at a much cheaper long-term cost.
As soon as the funds are raised, the equipment can be bought, and installation can start. This fundraising will be paired with the fundraising of Children of the Promise to purchase the system, as well as additional resources such as flights for volunteers, shipping, and miscellaneous materials for install. These funds will provide clean energy for the campus offering family strengthening and orphan care in a country that is plagued by corruption and political unrest. Children of the Promise and our team are incredibly grateful for any assistance provided through the fundraising.
